Beauty At Any Age: 62, Biologically 42

What if your age is simply a number, and your energy, strength, curiosity, and mindset tell a very different story?

I’m 62.

And according to my biological age assessment, I’m biologically 42.

My VO₂ max is 46.

But the numbers are only part of the story.

Beauty at Any Age isn’t about trying to look younger. It’s about feeling fully alive in the age you are, and refusing to let a number decide what you’re capable of next.

For me, that means moving my body, challenging my mind, protecting my energy, staying curious, and continuing to set goals that make me a little nervous.

It means running.

It means building businesses.

It means stepping onto stages.

It means learning something new.

It means surrounding myself with people who energize me.

And yes, it means caring about how I look and feel, but from a place of vitality, not vanity.

Age Is Just an Attitude

I’ve never believed that life has an expiration date on ambition.

At 62, I’m not slowing down. I’m becoming more intentional about where I put my energy.

The goal isn’t to become 42 again.

The goal is to be the strongest, healthiest, most energized version of 62 possible.

Because there is something incredibly powerful about getting older while continuing to evolve.

You know yourself better.

You know what matters.

You know what—and who—you’re willing to leave behind.

And you hopefully realize that there is still so much ahead.

The New Definition of Aging

Maybe we need to stop asking, “How old are you?”

And start asking:

How alive do you feel?

What are you working toward?

What are you learning?

What are you curious about?

What is your body capable of?

Who are you becoming?

Your chronological age tells us when you were born.

It doesn’t tell us how you live.

That part is up to you.

So here I am at 62—with a biological age of 42, a VO₂ max of 46, and a whole lot more I want to do.

And honestly?

I’m just getting started.

Because beauty at any age isn’t about looking back and wishing we were younger.

It’s about looking forward and knowing there is still so much more to become.

“Look for the extraordinary in the ordinary; that’s where the magic lies.”
